Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the operator of ArchiveScanner(“ArchiveScanner,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the ArchiveScannerwebsite and services (the “Service”). We are based in British Columbia, Canada, and handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia).

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. When you sign in through Whop, we receive your name, email address, profile image, and Whop account identifier.
  • Subscription information. Your subscription plan, billing status, and related events received from Whop. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; payments are collected and processed by Whop and its payment processors.
  • Usage information. Account activity events (such as sign-ins, plan changes, and settings changes) and features you save within the Service, such as bookmarks and saved filters.
  • Technical information. Standard server logs generated by our hosting infrastructure, which may include IP address, browser type, and request metadata, used for security and reliability.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, operate, and secure the Service;
  • authenticate you and manage your account;
  • administer subscriptions, billing status, and access levels;
  • send transactional communications, such as account and payment notifications;
  • monitor performance, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your personal information for third-party advertising.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Service uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, including a session cookie (a signed token stored in your browser with a seven-day expiry) and short-lived cookies used to complete secure sign-in. If analytics are enabled for the Service, they are used in aggregate to understand usage; we do not use cross-site advertising cookies.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only with service providers that process it on our behalf to operate the Service:

  • Whop (authentication, subscription management, and payment processing);
  • Vercel (website hosting);
  • Neon (database hosting);
  • Discord (delivery of alerts and community features, where you choose to join our Discord server).

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

6. International Transfers

Our service providers store and process data in the United States and other jurisdictions outside your province or country of residence. While your information is in another jurisdiction, it may be accessible to that jurisdiction’s courts and authorities under its laws. We take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection through our providers.

7. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as reasonably necessary afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Server logs and operational records are retained for limited periods consistent with these purposes.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent to our handling of it (which may prevent us from providing the Service). You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from Dashboard, then Settings, then Danger Zone; deletion is permanent. You may also contact us at the address below to exercise any of these rights, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including encrypted connections, signed session tokens, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under eighteen (18) years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised Policy will be posted on this page with an updated date, and material changes take effect upon posting.
